Mrs. Sarah Ann Allee, wife of J.
Frank Allee of Greencastle died at 12:30
o’clock Sunday afternoon at the home of her son, Dwight Allee, 1918
Charles Street. She had ben in poor health for some time and 13 weeks ago
became bedfast. She was brought to Lafayette 12 weeks ago. Death was due to a general break down. Mrs.
Allee was a native of Victoria, Wales, and was born Sept 1, 1857. She was
united in marriage to Mr. Allee at Greencastle June 8, 1880, and resided there
until coming to Lafayette. Since coming here Mrs. Allee united with Trinity ME
Church and was baptized in the Methodist faith.
Surviving besides the husband is a son, Dwight Allee of Lafayette, a
granddaughter Miss Mary Moore of Greencastle; a sister, Mrs. WE Arnold of
Owentown KY and brother, James Hedge of Brazil, Ind. The body will rest at the Allee home until
Tuesday noon when it will be taken over the Monon railroad to Greencastle.
Services will take place at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon. Burial in Forest Hill Cemetery, Greencastle. - kbz
